Nursery teacher shortage ‘risks children’s learning’

A shortage in qualified Nursery teachers in England is risking young children’s education research says. Applications for Nursery teachers have dropped by a significant amount leaving schools struggling.

Researchers focused mainly on Private, Independent and voluntary run nurseries, looking at how the shortage of nursery teachers are affecting the learning of young children.
