First Class Education are looking to recruit an experienced Maths teacher on a permanent basis required for a July/September 2019 start, working with KS3 up to six form students.

The main responsibilities and duties of the successful Maths teacher position will be:
Ensuing the pupils achieve learning outcomes that are above average in the subject of mathematics by instructing students in a clear, concise and fun way, and regularly preparing lesson plans that are engaging and incorporate the curriculum
Incorporate the school’s objectives into your curriculum by remaining up to date with missions and initiatives
Regularly communicate with parents and legal guardians regarding the child’s performance, track and record student progress and keep records up to date for progress reports and report cards.
Act as a role model by making your students feel motivated while maintaining an approachable personality
Attend school events to better understand student interest and personalities outside of the regular classroom, build strong relationships with your students and aid in the strengthening of their self-confidence while inspiring them to achieve high goals
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
To be a successful candidate for the Maths teacher position:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or related field
Expertise in the field of mathematics
Excellent communication skills, particularly recognising the importance of listening
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or on own initiative and ‘think for yourself’
Fluent spoken and written English
Have a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS – or be willing to pay for one
Be a consistently good or outstanding teacher
Be enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate innovative and creative teaching practices
Be eager to inspire and motivate students to exceed expectations
Have high aspirations for all students, is passionate about learning and can contribute new and creative ideas to subject areas
Have a proven track record of achievement
