Experienced Maths Teacher – ASAP Start
A mixed secondary school, that has recently changed to academy status. The school has worked hard to maintain their high standards and was graded ‘Good’ in 2014 by Ofsted.
The school is located a short walk from Bromley South rail station and there is parking on site.
The Maths department are looking to appoint an experienced Maths teacher to join their small, but successful team. Pupils make good progress, where the majority achieve above the national average when they sit their GCSE exam. Currently, 60% of GCSE students achieve grade C or above, so to maintain this is priority. The Head of Department is looking for a teacher who will not only challenge all their pupils, but to consistently give detailed and monitored feedback to help bridge the gap between the lower and higher achievers in the school.
Dedication and enthusiasm are key within this role. The department regularly takes part in the ‘Maths Challenge’ so preparation for this in addition to everyday tasks is essential. The school invests heavily in all of their staff through Continued Professional Development courses (CPD).
